Postcards from the Edge

A wry look at some of the weirder things Christians get up to (and stuff)

Nun-chucking

Nun-chucking: it's the new dwarf-throwing:

Well, you can see why. The website H2G2 reports that "many of the 'politically correct' people in society are making claims that the name 'dwarf' is degrading for its sportsmen and that the term 'dwarf-throwing' should instead be replaced by the more suitable title of 'propelling persons of restricted growth'. The people who actually compete in the sport do not support this political uproar; they simply want to be thrown."

But now, 'persons pacified with their horizontally perpendicular circumstances' can relax - and, in fact, so can nuns. Because in this PC (politically confusing) world, we now get our kicks with the little plastic variety.

Which is much better, if you think about it. I mean, say you're having a barbecue with your mates, you've all had a beverage or two, and the fun turns to nun-throwing. No need to put a few extra drumsticks on the barbie for the holy help! No habit-laundering expenses! And should a sudden downpour occur, abandon your nuns! No need to help them inside and supply towels or hot toddies.

More than ever, no party can be complete without a set of nuns. Each pack contains 4 nuns, with refill packs available. Get yours at Accoutrements.
