Is it just me or is anyone else sick and tired of hearing about US politics on British news? I don't mind so much when there is some news that will affect us from 'over the pond', but at the moment the so-called primaries are dominating headline news. I thought primaries were schools for our children, and to be honest I would rather see some of the attention of the media focussed on them - it would be so much more use!
To look on the bright side: it is good theatre. It's good to note that there is a good chance that our self-confident cousins might well elect their first female or black president, but it is of no significance to me at all yet.
Wake up BBC! There is more to life than America (even if the Americans don't realise it). There are plenty of things that matter more to me than whether Hilarious Clinton or Barracks of Barma get more votes in a state I wouldn't mind if I had never heard of.
Forgive me if I overstate my case, but like media like soul; we are too easily distracted from matters that matter by theatre masquerading as reality.
