I do wonder about the election that never was. I had got as far as setting up political candidates for hustings... and then it never happened.
Did Gordon Brown bottle it? I don't reckon he did. His job is to make the best decision for the country, and if he didn't believe that was for him to be in power then he wouldn't be much of a Prime Minister, would he? I don't know why he claims not to have looked at the polls as that just seems to make him either incompetent or a liar, but he chose the time that seems best to him and he is getting a lot of flack for it.
Whether he bottled it or not, it is a clear reminder to me that my task as a Christian is to steer the right course under God, in so far as I know it, and hold to it whatever flack I may get.
